I have always much preferred the more squared off design of the '69 Torino; although I do like the '70 more in recent years.

I actually like the coupe body style more than the fastback.

Easy one for me.  I vote for the 1970.  Better styling for the roof-line is the primary reason, but I like the grill and front-end treatment too.

My choice is the '69.  My favorite body style is the Ranchero. Here's mine before I sold it in 1997.  The color doesn't show up too well in these pictures, but it's Gulfstream Aqua just like the first coupe pictures Jack posted.

@jack-dodds My friend has the identical 428 Super Cobra Jet as your third picture. I agree with you that in recent years I have begun to favor the 70 for the reasons you and George state.

I much favor the delineation between fender and roofline on the 69 fastback. The 70 melds the roof into the fender and resembles the later GTO style over the earlier ones. 1969 for me.

I voted for the 1969 for the roof line that resembles the Mustang. I have always liked El Camino over any Ranchero. Never saw many Rancheros now that I think about it.

1970 for me. The 1969 is too plain IMO.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

Tie for me. I cannot get too exited about either of these, seeing them as very similar.

Agree, The only fastback I liked is the Mustang.  I have always preferred the '69 it just seems cleaner.  I'm just a square & clean & simple lover when it comes to cars.

I too like both, but I went with the 69 for the Mustang Fastback design as well.  It is what caught my attention when I first looked at the photos.  I do not remember seeing a lot of this version, more of the sedan versions is what I remember.

It was a 302 Windsor 2V with a C4 automatic. Plenty of power for what I used it for.  I think it's in Australia now.

@pete-rovero The 302 is a drive train I would have preferred if I owned it; a nice balance between power and economy.  Better handling too.
