Both are really interesting cars John and we’re significant rides back then. I like both but chose the 1951 primarily because my father owned one back then.
Like both but I'm going with the 51 and the flathead motor.
I love the looks of the 1951. I have all of the Brooklins of this year. It wins for me.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I like both, have owned neither. But I think the '51 would be my choice.
I love them both but prefer the lines of the '54 (less the chrome headlight bezels). Of that era (49-54) I like the '53 best.
Not really a fan of either, but if I had to pick one to park in my driveway, it would be the '54.

Again following George’s lead, never cared much for the 49-51 styling…54 was a big step forward.
Like both, but I'm going with the '51.

'51,I owned an exact one of the car pictured in Texas in 1964. It was well used but still nice when I bought it. I couldn't bring it onto the post as I could not afford insurance. I blew out the generator and second gear in the 3 on the tree, but enjoyed the heck out of it. 2 batteries and a charger were cheaper than a generator. I parked it in a field just off a back gate waked the mile to get to it. Wonder what ever happened to it, as I just left it there when I shipped out It was registered to me but I never heard anything. The engine, a flat head V8, still ran good and the body was in good shape other than a paint job and a complete interior, as well as the generator & transmission. Somebody got a bargain or maybe it just sat there and junked after a few years.
