Well as usual, I like all three. Thought it was a great styling time for Ford. But I've always been partial to the '58.
It's the grille and rear taillights that do it for me. Plus, guess I was influence by the '58 when I saw them brand new at Peterson Motors dealership behind our house in 1958. That was also where I first saw the new Edsel's.
Oddly enough, Ford was trying to create some family resemblance between the new Thunderbird and the full-sized Ford. Look closely at the pics, you'll see strong hints of the T-Bird design.
1956 styling wins easily, '57 and '58 in that order. I love them all and would be proud to own any one of them. I know that many people don't care for the '58 as it is a styling departure, especially the tail lights, but I sure like the trimmed up Fairlane 2drht.

Yes, love the '56. Don't really care for the '57, like the '58 but please put the round '57 tail lights on it. The fins on the '58 don't seem as high or they just look better to my eye.
