The '48 is a cool car but I have always loved the "Shoebox" design; especially the '50.

I like the 48, but I like the 49 more.

If it were 1949, '50 or '51; the Ford of THAT year. But today I'd rather drive the much more nostalgic 1948 around.

Hmmmm this was a difficult one.  I do like the more modern sleekness of the 1949. The curves and nostalgia pushes me toward the 1948.  Crazy huh!

This was tough one. The differences between these two years wasn't just in the styling but with the mechanicals as well. The 48 was very outdated with it's trans mounted rear spring while the 49 had many problems including excessive rusting of the bodies because of a lack of sufficient fender inner panels which allowed dirt and water to accumulate. While the 50 shared the same body as the 49, it is a much better car with the quality control problems being corrected. Voting strictly on appearance, I vote 49.

Absolutely super easy today for me.  The '48 by the proverbial country mile.  I've always hated the (what people call) "Shoebox" styled '49's.  To my eyes it is odd that a car would be wider in the front than in the rear.  So yes, FORTY-EIGHT for me please!

Easy choice, 49 all the way. So awesome looking and so modern for the period.

Dislike Ford in '48, '49 was better, but the first Ford of the '50's I actually liked was the '51, just the change in the grill was enough to sway me.  Plus the fact I did own one.

I picked the Shoebox Tony, but that '48 in red just radiates a "fun to be had here" message doesn't it?
