Pretty much one of the easiest for me so far! How could anyone NOT choose the ‘69?

I agree with the 69.  The lesser of the evils. Now give me a 68 and maybe we can talk.

The ‘69. My favorite Mustang year. Then the 71, 70.

Of these 3, 1969. Depending on trim, 1969 and 1970 would tie or go back and forth. A Boss 302 of either year would definitely tie.

1971 third.

A tie between the 69 and 70. 71 definitely last.

The '69 Mach I gets the easy nod today....just a beautiful car.  71 then 70 for second and third place; but if they were Boss 302s then it would be reversed.

Mustangs, I only love one, the '69 Boss 429.

Mustang to me:

1. '69 love

2. '68 like

3. '70 like

4. '67 all right

5+. '64 to '66 are just glorified Falcons

8+. '71 up yuck

71 for me, followed by the 69 and then the 70. The 67 & 68 to me are the best in the range of 64-71.

In order or year starting with 1969. I would have preferred earlier Mustangs to those shown here, the lighter the better.

None of the above, but the 1964.5 was a great car, if you added a four-barrel to the 289, with a four-speed.  Rode in a couple of them, when I was fourteen, including one Saturday afternoon, when Dave R''s girlfriend took me with her to run an errand and a couple of lads in a '55 Chevy pulled alongside on a straight road, which is when she showed them she wasn't just a very pretty face.  One of the few girls I ever knew who could expertly work her way through the gears like a pro, both 'up the hill and down again.'  Dave's car was burgundy, and dressed with the same rims as this ride:
