WOW! What a tough choice. The Imperial from 1957 to 1963 are the some of the most beautiful and uniquely styled cars on the road. Each year stands out with its own design flair and features. The Imperial is my favorite car in this era, and I love each one for different reasons. The fact that Chrysler devoted resources to these cars and their distinctive style is even more amazing. They were designed to be beautiful and bold. Today, to see one is always a thrill and picking a favorite, well... but I'll do it.
So, after some considerable thought and studying the photos of each year, I'll go with the 1960 1st, followed by the '62 & then the '61. While each year makes a statement, the '60 has a higher level of class and the style flows more freely from front to back, at least to my eyes.

I'm taking the 1960 just because those tailfins are a riot and I like the garish front grille. Imagine if there was no tailfin/rocket-look craze. Yes, they are ridiculous but look at today's cars - what a bore.

For me the '60 and '61 are in a tie for first place. The '62 looks strange without fins.
