These two cars represent perfectly why Packard went bye-bye.  I voted NO INTEREST in either one.  A sad ending to a once great marque.

Yikes to both, but I voted Starlight because it's the wonkier of the pair.

I went with the catfish looking Hawk, single headlights,  done much nicer by Studebaker.

Since both were Studebakers with a few exterior panels replaced, perhaps we should be looking at the interiors?  The Hawk was a beautiful design dating to the 1953 Studebaker, and these Packard touches made it look different, but not much.  The Starlight wasn't as successful an adaptation.

The Starlight is slightly less hideous looking.  These cars are hard to look at....what could they possibly have been thinking?

Never had interest in either Packard or Studebaker styling.

I went with the 58 Hawk, only because it reminds me of the 55–57 T-Birds.  To me the front of the store light looks like a 62 Corvette and for some reason it just looks really big for the design, maybe it’s the fins.

Wow John we sure see things differently. I have owned a 55,56 and 57 T-Bird and don't see even the slightest resemblance to the Hawk and I own a 61 Corvette, which is identical to the 62, and don't see a resemblance from it to the Starlight. Oh well that's what makes us different. In the end we vote for the Hawk.

like George I voted no interest as packard styling to my eyes died in the early 1940s with the death of the traditional radiator shell.
