I really like the front end treatment and overall stance of the 55.

  Well, without pictures to narrow my choice, I went with the '54 Packard.  While the '54 was very close to the '53, the simplified chrome on the '54 upper lines appealed and still appeals to me.   The '55, with a lot of variations in the divisions and even the subdivisions, often distracted from Packards new V8 with 2 and 3 paint colors and, especially on the Clippers, a bewildering complexity of chromed paint divisions.  Only General Motors was more confusing.

(later) Your fine pictures have clarified the choices.  Now it's the '53 as my top choice, followed by the '54, and, while I greatly preferred its mechanical improvements, the '55 is only my third choice.

Its 1953, 54, and 55 in that order.  I  prefer the cleaner styling of the '53.

NO PHOTOS JOHN!  It was working perfectly and easily.  I sure hope this problem can be fixed soon.  I fear we are going to lose members if it isn't.  

I have photos, but they really weren't necessary for my decision. 1955 is a clear winner for me. I never liked the previous cars' looks.
