John, this one proves that you are a master at this! You found 3 consecutive "oddball" styling years for Plymouth which makes this a really fun choice today!
I find the '60's fins way "over the top" (almost literally) and it hurts my eyes to even look at the '62 so that makes the "interesting" (to put it kindly) looking '61 the winner for me today.
Wow John, what the heck have you been drinking…😂 I’m going with the ‘60 because it’s so different from every other ‘60 that I can remember! ! I’ll relegate the other two to a tie 👍. 🙌
While if the circumstances were to align, I could see myself owning any of the three, it would be an extraordinary situation because I don't care for any of them - equally. My very first: No Interest.
I had a 1/25 promo of the 1961 Plymouth and at about that time, Plymouth was a client of my Dad's. I have a couple of prized SunStar 1/18 diecasts of the beautiful 1960 Plymouth at the twilight of the fin era. I thought the originally planned and Exner-styled 1962 full-size Plymouths were terrific-looking cars. I thought the downsizing that they suffered through due to management interference was unfortunate and many car buyers agreed.
All three are butt ugly, the last decent looking Plymouth was the '56 model and it took until '65 to make a decent looking car. Plymouth '57 thru '63 were just plain ugly looking to me. '64 was all right and '65 was good.
