When I saw the very first photo or image of the truck, I really thought it was a legitimate joke, that some kid had drawn or photoshopped. LOL
BTW, recently I saw a 1:1 and it had been painted a bronze color!
The first one I saw on the road, some time ago now, garnered a LOT of looks. I got the distinct feeling the looks were not admiring it.
An oddball for sure. Would you believe I'm beginning to warmup to it.

I saw a lady get out of one on the grocery store parking lot. I couldn't resist going over to look at it. She asked me what I thought of it, and like the cartoon, I replied that I had probably drawn one when I was twelve. She seemed surprised that I wasn't enthused but I told her I was surprised that she would think that when it looked like something a kid designed. I must admit that I added a 1/24 scale model of one recently because my collection is the history of the automobile. My wife said that was the ugliest thing she had ever seen and asked me to move the model where she couldn't see it from her favorite chair.

- Because the vehicle's body is stainless steel, they are not painted. In fact, "color" is not even a Tesla option. Many owners have their trucks professionally wrapped; thus, numerous color changes are possible - but not cheap. 😏 🤔
I would love to know the reason this visual insult was ever created. There must be a business case for it that made sense to Tesla execs......but what the hell could it possibly be? IMHO this may be the most ridiculous looking vehicle ever made.
@chris I would think this would be easier to wrap because it has no compound curves to deal with. Maybe camouflage would help to make it invisible.

Sorry...no....I just can't believe that....."say it isn't so John.....please....say it isn't so!"
"Maybe camouflage would help to make it invisible."
"Invisibility" is occurring as we speak.
I see a fair amount of Cybertrucks - many wrapped in flat black - on the road. However, there should be many more.... For a variety reasons, Telsa and their wacko CEO "destroyed" their own truck. They overpromised/oversold the vehicle and alienated & angered most of their customer base.

@chav .... I haven't yet seen one so polished but agree that this look could be very dangerous. 😬 😬 😬
I do notice that practically every CT owner removes their "press-fit" wheelcovers.
Finally, something uglier than a Pontiac Aztec
