I'm a bit surprised! I've always been a fat fender Ford & Mercury fan but the Nash, with a bit of the chrome removed from the front end, is a better looking car. I still picked the Mercury but only for the power train.

I've always liked these Nashes for their styling. Nash but I like the Mercury as well.

Similar designs and concept but the Nash just seems cleaner lines, enhanced by better use of trim, in my opinion.

I like both cars, but if I've got a choice of having one over the other, IT'S NASH!  Not as bulky looking.

Another vote for the cleaner looking Nash. Plus I like the blue.

I really like the look of the Nash over the Mercury by a small margin but I'll pick the Merc for its drive train.

I feel the Nash is a smarter design.  Problem is, design is there to help the sales department and cluttered though it is, the Mercury does speak more of the 1950s.  Whilst writing a dissertation many years ago, I came upon a quote: "Post-war values were made manifest in chrome and steel" which I think sums up the case for the Mercury.
