I liked the Hudson look more, both solid cars but not to my taste. ✌️

I do not dislike either but do not favor one over the other. I guess they call that a tie. My vote.
Similar school of styling, but the Hudson looks long, low and sleek. I think this Packard body style was referred to as "Pregnant Elephant" and it's easy to see why!

I voted for the Packard because I like its livery.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
It's interesting how 'looks' are fashionable and are then superseded by time. By this point the Packard is barely a facelift and side mould away from its revolutionary '41 models - nearly a decade earlier (though we must allow for war years). Whereas the Hudson has a similar look but of more recent naissance and it shows.
Interesting how there times when I look at two cars next to each other and immediately without hesitation, I like one over the other. This is the case today. I VOTE HUDSON! Though I'm not fond of the color combination, it is over the top better looking than the bulbous Hippo looking Packard.

I much prefer the Hudson styling in this era; although I like the later grille/tail light design more. This Packard design is too "tubby" for me I'm afraid. It's rather odd that the Packard and Nash were tagged with the "bath tub" look but not the "drop down look" Hudson.
Hudson is classic but Packard seems to have more class.
Hudson style wise for me. The Packard was still a substantial quality automobile but in a different price class than the HUdson.

Without question. What they share in common is non conventional designs.
