For me it's Cadillac over Imperial by a nose, with Lincoln a distant third.

Much to my surprise, this time I picked the Cadillac.

LINCOLN for me please!  The Imperial is really dated in not only styling but also the split windshield.  And though I like the Cadillac, it wouldn't be until 1956 when I completely love the look, as by then it was perfect.

The understated elegance of the Imperial wins for me today.

The Lincoln looks faster, the Imperial stodgier, but the Cad has the presence.  Step aside for the Cad.

While I really liked the Lincoln and the Chrysler just kind of got ignored, the Cadillac commanded attention and dominated the field.  1951 was the year that Packard really slipped.  I guess I'll go with the Lincoln, just to be different.

But here's what Packard attempted in that same year of 1951, their first really all new styling in a long time:

David;  This is my favorite Packard design of that era by far.

Cadillac for me.  It hits the ball out of the park.
