Both are beautiful "personal luxury" automobiles. I am happy to have diecast replicas of both of these cars and they would look great in all scales.
In one of my 1/18 Yat Ming convertible Packard Caribbeans, I have some custom floor mats made many years ago by Ned on the old Diecast Pub forum.
Extremely close to a tie but I give the nod to the iconic Cadillac design.
From the pictured angle, the Cadillac looks like it needs to lose more than a little weight, so I voted for the more "in-shape" looking Packard, even though "fat-shaming" is taboo these days...

I am really not interested in either but I picked the Cadillac because I’m partial to almost everything blue. It’s funny though I looked at my spread sheet and I have more red models than any other color.
Two beauties. The Packard's 0f the 40's were my favorites. Big, beautiful American cars. But in the 50's they took on a Euro-look that lost some of the marque's flair. Caddy for its iconic stature.
Cadillac for me too. It looks the part of big American luxury, and I never liked the grille on this generation Packard.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
No interest in either, but the Packard looks better to my eye.
For 1953, both are Elephants! The Cadillac though looks newer with its curved windshield cleaner grille. The Packard looks very dated with old windshield styling. And those open wheel wells look awful. I prefer the over the wheel look of the Cadillac. I VOTE CADILLAC!

Cadillac. I really dislike the front end of the Packard, not attractive at all.
Both are gorgeous! It's the Cadillac that gets my vote.
Gents, thanks for your responses!
