Quick glance, at first I thought that Lincoln was a Mercury...which is exactly why I voted for the Packard!

Vote for Lincoln. I just looks more modern than the Packard.
I never liked this generation Packard's looks, especially the grille. Lincoln for me; it has nice proportions.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I love Packard. I love its lineage and history. On the '54 here, I like 90% of this car - from its color, to the side trim, to the cool taillights to the wire wheels from automotive heaven. But I agree with Ed, above - that grille!!
The Capri for me.
Another masterful choice and like colors John!
I picked the Packard as well. I agree, for a high end car, the Lincoln should look better than the Mercury of the same time frame, it doesn't. Not to me anyway.😁
Never cared for Packard.
Lincoln looks like a Mercury, I love the '54 - '56 Mercury, so today it is the Lincoln I pick, only I would have bought the Mercury. Can't see spending the more money the Lincoln cost, not into luxury cars.
The only Packards I like from this era are the Caribbeans and even then The grills take away from their looks. Lincoln.
I like the Lincoln a lot but still have to go with the Packard. Even near the end, it exudes quality and class.
NO-CONTEST! The LINCOLN for me. The Packard with its bulbous out-dated elephant styling brought on its onw extinction!
And yes John, Christopher is correct. The Lincoln you have pictured is a '55. But I still take it over the elephant it's compared with.

You make a great point about paying more for a Lincoln of this time period over getting the near-same car in a Mercury for less money.
Which makes me wonder why people today buy a Cadillac Escalade SUV with its high sticker price, when they could still get a SUV in a Chevy (or any other lower end brand) for much less money.
Makes no sense! Other than they probably need the attention they feel they'll get with the Cadillac, that feeds their starving ego.

Good catch guys...this was a test to see who would be the first to see it was a '55 and not a '54.

@sizedoesmatter ...a very easy "catch" for me. I owned two '54 Lincolns (a coupe and a sedan ) for many years. 😏
