Studebaker. It's so very beautiful.

Well, I'll be the MERCURY guy here.  The Studebaker was a "cartoon" looking car in comparison.

I like them both so I voted a tie.  The Studebaker looks sportier and the Mercury looks grand.

I choose the second year of that fabulous Studebaker design.

The only Studebaker I liked was the '62, '63, '64 Gran Turismo GT Hawk. Mercury '54 - '56 I loved, and in '54 the Mercury is the only car I would buy.

The Studebaker for '53 & '54 is almost identical except for the grill, I prefer the simpler look of the '53. With that, the Mercury is awesome, Mercury for me today.

This one is a bit harder.....   That Studebaker looks like a Ferrari next to that old stuffy  Merc., but the Mec. is beautiful in its own right.    "Tie"   I guess!  😯 😮 😏 😯

@david-green I'm with you all the way David. A magnificent design far ahead of it's time.

I assume it won't be a surprise to anyone when I vote for the Studebaker.  It had style way ahead of its time.

I voted Studebaker for it's styling, which was advanced compared to the  others in '53 and had a European flair.  It began a long string of beautiful Studebakers and holds a special place in automotive history.
