I think the Studebaker was very style innovative for the time.  Maybe even way ahead of it’s time.  Too bad America wasn’t into smaller cars at that time.

Apparently part of the problem is the demand for the two doors outstripped Studebaker's projections, while the sedans fell short. It wasn't easy to refocus production and sales were consequently lost.

The Mercury is nice, but lacks the unique styling of the Studebaker.
