Okay, hope all the regular Forum friends here are sitting down.  You know that I'm overboard gaga for the '57 Oldsmobile.

BUT...because the one featured here is a convertible, I'm going to VOTE FOR THE BUICK!  Reason is, part of my loving the '57 Oldsmobile is that awesome "Hardtop rear 3 split window".  That "3 split rear window" missing on the convertible, I like the Buick better, and I like the Buick's color better too.

I'm sorry for any injuries suffered if any of have fallen down from shock.

George I fell down and now cannot get up.  I was all set to agree with you on the Oldsmobile, and you shocked me.  I do like the Olds more as I don't like the trim down the side of the Buick.

I'm not that keen of either of these but consider them equal in design.

Having owned and driven 2 of these gorgeous Buicks makes my choice ever so easy!! Opposed to the Olds that reminds me of my mothers vacuum cleaner….

1957 is my favorite year Oldsmobile, but I still like the Buick better.

Well, you (and others here) know that I love the '57 Olds.  But without that hardtop split rear window so much is lost.  Here's another revelation, that may knock some socks off, I'm NOT a fan of convertibles for that very reason.  The top styling of any car is lost when it is replaced with a cloth top or the top gone (i.e. down).

I'm voting Buick too. I like its ornamentation better.

I like them both very much but prefer the grille/bumper and tail light areas of the Buick.

The 3-piece back glass was also available on select models of the '57 Buick.

"....the 3-piece back glass appeared on all 1957 Buick Special (series 40) and Buick Century (series 60) cars in the following body styles:

2-door sedan (Special only)

2-door hardtop

4-door sedan

4-door hardtop

This roof and window treatment was not offered on the Super (series 50) and Roadmaster (series 70) cars, which shared their glass and rooflines with Cadillac models. The one exception was one low-volume variant of the Roadmaster 2-door hardtop, which did have a divided, three-piece back window, but this was an entirely different design from that of the Special and Century cars.

The 3-piece rear window treatment of the Special/Century cars was also shared by all series of 1957 Oldsmobile in the same body styles."

Thanks to Centurion for the info.

It is close but I vote for the Olds.  I like the smoother “vacuum cleaner” look.  🥹

Tough call for me. I love most everything GM had to offer in 1957. Going with the Buick today by a very small margin.

@georgeschire I am the same about convertibles.  Just do not like them as much.
