Poll: Which '56? (12/21/2022)

I like both but prefer the DeSoto. Thanks for this series John.

Both are favorite model year styles of mine.  But the DESOTO is absolutely ahead of the Mercury for me.  I think the '56 DeSoto was the last really eye-catching DeSoto of the brands run.  The other thing I look at too, is the Dashboards of cars, and DeSoto for '56 was more trendy and attractive than Mercury.

Another tough choice. I like them both but a very slight edge to the DeSoto.

I didn't even look at the photos. DeSoto by a landslide. Love the 56.

'56 Mercury, my favorite year, looks like it would appeal to young to middle age people to me; the DeSoto I like but looks middle age to senior to me, think young even if I am not. Prefer the '57 DeSoto styling.

I'm with the DeSoto. I like this year from Chrysler Corp.

The DeSoto is sharp but that that Merc 👍 is so very cool, love the rake of those headlamps. 😎

The DeSoto but just by a hair. I like them both. I never take the color of the poll models into account because to me, it's not part of the car's design. If the color selection was mandatory then the Mercury.

In ‘56 DeSoto redesigned the headlights and taillights integrated in those nice fins, and that dash is the best of the mopars that year.

Extremely close but I prefer the styling of the Mercury.

Compared to most the cars of 1956 I’d choose the Mercury every time but Desoto in 56 just whacked this one out right of the park!😜
