WOW!Β  Voting on this one was actually harder than I thought it would be.Β  I really could be swayed to interchange any of the three cars in the order I like them.Β  But as I type this, it's like this:

1) ChryslerΒ  2) PackardΒ  3) BuickΒ Β

This one took me a while to choose; it is extremely close between the Chrysler and the Buick.Β  I'll pick trimmer and elegant looking Chrysler by the slightest of margins over Buick; Packard is a strong third.Β  I find the '56 Buick a bit of a styling overstatement compared to the '55, which I love.

Packard, Chrysler, then Buick for me. The first two are almost a tie but sorry, just don't find that Buick attractive.

Chrysler by quite a bit.Β  Packard and Buick a tie for third, in other words I don't care for either one.Β  '56 for me would be the Lincoln Premiere or Mercury for my taste.Β  For my taste FoMoCo had the best styling in '56 and GMC in'57 and Chrysler Corp. in '58, '59 for styling not quality control.

A very tight grouping here. You continue to bring fascinating challenges, John. Thanks.Β

I'll go Buick, Packard, Chrysler.

Chrysler, Packard, Buick.

GM still had that tall, bulbous hoodline going in 1956 while the others were much flatter and more streamlined by that time.

Had this been the Caribbean there'd have been no doubt, but I've never warmed to the curious side trim of the '56 Clipper. Β So I'll vote Chrysler, Packard, Buick.

@moe-parr, nice observation. I'll never look at a '56 buick the same again!

3 good-looking cars. For me it's the Buick, Chrysler and Packard.

The Packard isn't a car I've ever been excited about, but it would get my vote here. The Buick is bulbous and over-ornate and the Chrysler disappoints by comparison with the following year's "Forward Look", so by default it's the Packard - although I share Brush's view that the Lincoln Premiere beats all of them.
