Thanks Gus, but I’m good. I still have the other two ‘32’s, the blue and maroon, not going to fret about it. If one comes up on the cheap I may get it. No worries, like Mom always said, don’t cry over spilt deuces. Kind of funny in a way, I had it on the bench because I flicked off one of the cowl lights and was about to re-glue it. Naturally the light flew away when I squeezed the tweezers too tight and I had to scooch the bench to get under it, voila!

Hi I’m still Kevin… and I’ve fallen off the wagon again. All this talk about the ‘56 Chevy caused me to go back to a model that’s been on my watch list for a month. Made an offer and…. you know the rest. I actually needed this to ease the pain of watching my DM 1/1000 ‘32 Ford roadster do 3 or 4 back flips on the concrete after knocking it off my workbench. It was totaled, nothing much left to salvage! No pics of the actual carnage, too graphic and disturbing! Saved this.

Sounds like a comedy sketch.......to continue on after the Deuce explodes in bits....I can visualize you then yelling in despair,  stepping on a sharp Deuce remnant, hopping about cursing holding one foot, losing your balance, then crashing headlong through a glass model cabinet.  Now that would be funny.....right?    Kevin?

Respectfully submitted:

Your pal Gus.                                              Wink

@jack-dodds

What a sadist you are. Through a model cabinet? Oh the humanity; and humidity. I think he just forgot to add the 'y' in making it read 'guys'. And you're not Gus, you're Jack. So be nimble and lose the crashing stuff. (It WAS pretty funny though! Smile )

@kevins Ouch, I feel for you buddy. I hope you find a good replacement. I've had the same happen to me with one of my models, right before the show I was entering it in, it slipped out of my hand. It looked bad, but I was able to save it. It was this one, this pic is after the repairs.😊

Oh yeah, I picked the Chevy also. My favorite tri-five. Although the 55/56 Mercs are also a fav.💯

@jack-dodds Sounds like you must know me. I didn’t go through all of those shenanigans you mentioned, probably would have in the past though. I f.. uh, mess up so much that I’ve taught myself how to calm down (right after I scream in despair and throw the nearest object into the wall).

Looks like I should have sent it to Geno!
