Cadillac for me. I like the new roofline which would be used on the ‘58 Chevrolets and Pontiacs.  I’m sure this elevated both brands in the public’s perception. Imagine, a Chevrolet and Pontiac with a Cadillac roofline!

And cost Cadillac some exclusivity and maybe even a little prestige...

@geno, I really like the Eldorado for what it is...But I have to agree with you on the rear end. To me, it always seemed they were just trying too hard, but I'm not sure of what.

@jkuvakas I have always thought the Eldorado tail end through the '50s looked like two very different cars joined in the middle; the styling just didn't flow at all.

@jack-dodds, I must admit, it was spectacular, just not in a good way. Those rear quarters would have looked better on a smaller, European car.

@jack-dodds Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's like two different designers that didn't collaborate with each other. I understand some like it. It just never appealed to me.😊
