Starfire for me. I love its detailing, with its big silver swath down its flanks, and its inset grille.

Plus one of the best names ever.

The best year of the decade for the Olds Starfire...absolutely beautiful car.  I much prefer the shoulder years of the Mercury.

The Mercury isn't a bad-looking car, but it doesn't stand a chance here. The Starfire is gorgeous.

Starfire! The one pictured is even the same color combination to the 1/1 we had many years ago.

I dare to say that this "Which One?" is the easiest one I've voted on to date.  OLDSMOBILE!

Having owned a '62 Starfire just like todays example, only in the gorgeous Maroon color, it remains to this day my personal favorite car I've ever owned.  It is/was the most beautifully styled car from any of the Big Three for that model year.  Front bumper to rear bumper, roof-line, interior with a juke box looking dash, the inset grill, and the safety-lock wheel covers, it is/was Art on Wheels.

I'd be willing to bet this one could be the most one-sided voting ever for John's "Which One?".  But then you know there will be ONE person out there that will find the Mercury (to their eyes) the better of the two.  Hard to fathom, but it will likely happen.  Shocked

Olds for me too. I've always thought that year Mercury to be "ugly".

I voted for the Oldsmobile but as a taillight guy, I do LOVE this view of the Mercury:

@moe-parr

I'll agree with on the Mercury's taillights.  But not enough to desire it over the Oldsmobile.
