@gdh I have good memories of both, but for me the Chevy is the clear winner. My good friend Joey Genei) had a 425 horse Ember Red Impala 4 speed convertible up to the time of his death. He street raced it and retired it when he purchased a ‘67 435 horse Corvette Coupe for said duties. He stored the Impala in his parents basement garage with if I recall correctly, under 20,000 miles. His son inherited the car and actually started a small but lucrative business selling his Father’s extensive collection of cars and rare Z11 and 409 parts. Now for the Ford. When I was growing up, the Summit County. Ohio, extremely cool Sheriff drove a decked out 2 door Galaxie 500,R-Code patrol car. He would display it at our school open house at our open house and fair, shining like a new penny with the hood up, the engine just as clean as the exterior. I can still see the huge oval air cleaner with the Thunderbird 427 emblem! One time a group of us delinquent youngens did the semi horn signal when he was driving by and he went hot, punched it and kicked in all eight barrels, good memory for sure!
Really close once again....good job John! Even though I owned a '63 Impala HT and loved it, the Ford Galaxie styling, trim and interior appeals more; even more so with the fastback roof of 1963 1/2.
I've always liked the '63 Chevy and it gets my vote today. 1963 was a great year for all the auto manufacturers!

My brother in law has one similar, but with a monster motor. It's pretty exciting. A survivor car found in a warehouse in Dayton, Ohio. I love listening to this beast at idle. Pure music.😊@ed-glorius I started college with six-cylinder '63 Ford two-door in the exciting color of beige. It was reliable, but the '63 Chevy was always a winner where I came from. I knew one guy who had a white '63 convertible, with a red interior, and he had more girlfriends than one could imagine.
@geno I LOVE it Geno; especially with the 427! So nice that it survived....with a 427 the odds were certainly against that happening.
@gdh Mark inherited this when his father passed away. He's been offered big money for it because of it's originality as a survivor. Obviously as you can see, it's not going anywhere, lol. He does still have the steelies and dog dish caps that were originally on the car. It did have that true sleeper look when those were on it.😊
A longtime fan of the '63 Chevy also sentimental attachment through family and friends.
Gents, thanks for your replies.

Like them both but the edge would be with the Chevrolet. I'll always have a soft spot for the Chevy. I was 13 in '63 and a 19 year old guy I knew had a new '63 Bel Air with a 409, two four barrel carbs and a 4 speed. He was in the A/FX class in drag racing at the local drag strip. I really looked up to him. In '64 he got a 330 Dodge with a 426 wedge and automatic and never lost a race that season.
