Imperial for me! Has more of a "rich" stance to it. And the color is regal on it.

Unquestionably Imperial.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
I choose the Imperial, even though I owned a 1965 Continental. Both cars were designed by Elwood Engel, the Continental in 1958 and the Imperial in 1961, so it's not surprising that they share some design cues. The Imperial just looks more contemporary.
Interesting as the two are both, ultimately, by the hand of Elwood Engel who'd just arrived from Ford and was hurriedly trying to straighten-out (not just metaphorically) the monstrous early sixties Chrysler Corp. sculpturing. The Lincoln Continental at this point would be in its third year, with little change whilst this is the first year for the Imperial body style, so much as I love this Imperial, the Lincoln gets my vote. Possibly also, because the '61 is my favorite car of all time!
I picked the Lincoln. The 4dr convertible style is just so amazing on all the Lincolns of the 60s.
The Imperial is nice, but has never been a favorite style choice, now if this was a '67, it would be different.

The Lincoln for me. To me they are understated elegance.
It's a rare tie for me this year. I loved the 61 Lincoln grille much more than this one; IMO the 61 was perfection, so this one pales a bit. Conversely the Imperial just kept getting better looking over the same time frame. I really like this year a lot!
