Went with the Ford today. Both are pretty cool. 😎👍

The clean-lined Chevy over the fussy Ford.

I'm for the Chevrolet this time. Just looks a little cleaner lines.
Was not a fan of the 63-65 Malibu. For me it was not until the 66 that I took a real notice.
To my eyes the Fairlane was sportier looking but the Malibu was a crisper design and more refined looking, while still retaining a sporty flair. I love both cars equally so I voted a rare tie. In the five years that followed though it was Chevelle all the way IMHO.
Neither car caught my attention back in the day. But I think the Chevy's over-all look flows better than the Ford's. So, CHEVY for me!

Ford for me. I always found the first generation Chevelle to look dull.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
@ed-glorius I think the '64 Chevelle is less exciting than following years but the SS version with the sportier interior looked attractive, especially in a number of the metallic colors offered.
Ford1002003 votes for the Chevelle. The only '64 Ford I like is the T-Bird.

Chevelle by a slight margin but like the later Chevelles much more.
First year Chevelle looks better to me with the “floating” grille and curved side glass.
