The Coronet is cool, though I have never embraced the roofline. G T O for me, please, John!
The GTO looks terrific. It's my favorite year. It wins, but lose the vinyl roof.
I like the Coronet too, especially the hardtop.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The '65 GTO is my favorite year for this car; it is a simple, yet very attractive and aggressive design. The Dodge is no match for it IMHO.
As much as I don't like to vote TIE, today I decided to. Oddly enough, I like both cars about the same with but one exception to both of them, the roofs. I'm not a fan of the Dodge roof-styling, but I also don't like the "vinyl" on the Pontiac. So that being said, overlooking the roof distractions, I'd be okay with either car in my driveway.

@georgeschire Let me think about this for a second… GOAT!! I’m a little biased because I owned one years ago.
Stolen, stripped, and burned. Still grieving!
Years earlier I had a buddy that had a ‘65 Plymouth Fury with a 426 Wedge and 4 speed, crazy fast, but with that huge s shaped shifter, every time he got on it and hit 3rd,
he would slam his knuckles into the metal dash.

Loved the '66 - '69 Coronets and liked the '70 but just could not get into the 65. GTO, loved the '66, liked the '67 & '65. So today I vote GTO.
Both are great-looking automobiles and I am happy to have a 1/24 replica of each of them. Back in the day, a friend had an actual high-power V-8 1:1 version of the Dodge Coronet. My family also had a big 1965 Dodge Custom 880 station wagon and our family has also had several Pontiacs over the years.
My vote went with the Dodge as I pictured it with a different set of sport wheels, which would definitely change the look. Did not like the 65 Pontiac, Now the 67 would be a different story.
The Pontiac GTO, while not my favourite year, is my choice here.
@david-green My favorite year GTO is the ‘66, but the ‘65 that I bought was a deal I couldn’t pass on. I think the GOAT deserves it’s own survey for favorite year.
The Dodge is nice but the GTO is killer.
