Chevelle gets my vote. I never warmed up to this one-year-only Fairlane.
That Malibu is beautiful! My vote!
No interest today. I just never cared much for either of these bodystyles.😊
I voted Ford. Neither have great styling to me, but the Ford is a little more interesting.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Chevelle gets the nod. I have always loved all of the 60s Chevelles slightly more than the Fairlanes. 1965 Fairlane styling was my least favorite of that decade for the marque.
Neither one. We were entering the age of the 'box' car, where flowing curves fell by the wayside.
Chevelle was my favourite American car in the 1960s. Best open with a V8.
Ford got lost with the Fairlane in ‘65. I loved the ‘62 to ‘64, but this one left me cold. It got great again in ‘66.
The Chevelle gets my vote today.

I like them both but I only have two 1/18 diecast models of the 1965 Z-16 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. The closest Ford I have is the mid-sized 1/18 Ford Fairlane coupes from around that time, namely the Yat Ming model and the highly-detailed Ertl Ford Thunderbolt drag racer.
Honestly, neither one really gets me excited. But if I forced at gunpoint to pick one, the Chevelle gets the nod. After 1964, I didn't like any Ford styling.

I would have bought a '65 Impala Super Sport coupe...actually I did!Not fond of either one but, the Chevy looks better than the Ford in '65. I didn't get interested in mid-size cars until '66 and then I LOVED the GTO, Fairlane, Coronet, Charger, Satellite.
In '65 Mid-size I would have bought the Skylark Grand Sport.
