The stunningly styled Riviera wins this one easily.  The T-Bird styling went south in a big way after '63 IMHO.  I actually owned a '64 Bird but disliked it; didn't keep it very long.

This one was harder than I thought. I love the Riviera, particularly the '65. It was closer to Mitchell's original design than the previous two years. But I love the '65 T-Bird as well. To me, it was the epitome of the traditional American Highway Cruiser. Almost a tie, but I went with the Riv.

Comparing pics I like the Riviera, if the T-bird was a convertible/roadster I like the T-bird.  So by the pictures here it is the Riviera I choose today vs the T-bird hard top.

I voted a tie.  I would be more than happy to own and drive both cars.

Both cars are the epidemy of personal luxury. A difficult decision but the Buick for me.

Riviera all the way for me. I would raise a glass and drink a toast to this styling masterpiece, but right now I'm on the wagon.

Riviera wagon rear

(Sorry about that).

Excuse me Sir,

If that were real would that not be considered a "shooting brake" on your side of the Great Pond ?

"Estate" (or "estate car") would be the more usual term, unless you are a very old-school upper-crust kind of person.

And on your side of the Great Pond, the Riviera wagon would be generally described as an "abomination". But I am unrepentant. I think it worked pretty well (but obviously I am in a minority of one.)

My feeling also.  Picked the Riv but not a huge fan of the hidden lights after the 63/64.  😎
