Both are gorgeous muscle cars from that era. I have a black Ertl Authentics 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle in1/18, although in the Ford line up, I have a three Yat Ming mid-size Mercury Cyclones in that scale. They are all favorites and display exceptionally well.
I owned that Chevelle in convertible form and miss it to this day. Both are fine cars but Chevrolet is my pick here.
We owned a gold 66 Chevelle and loved that car. Never a problem - Chevrolet for the win.
I like the Ford's looks and proportions.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The Ford, in yet anotehr squeaker!

Both are terrific. I picked the Chevrolet because it shared the same body of our first new car, a 1966 Buick Skylark GS 400 which we dearly loved.
Ford for me. Like the styling more so than the Chevelle.
This one is very close but generally speaking I prefer the Chevelle styling to that of the Fairlane in the '65 thru '72 era.
Both beautiful, I'll take the Fairlane please.
Ford. I like the styling better, including the stacked headlights.
Love both but it's the Chevelle that I pick.
Gents, thanks for your responses!
