Another toughie! What makes this difficult for me, is that I like both, for different reasons. I like the sharp angular lines on the Galaxie but I like the sensuous, flowing curves of the Impala.

Eenie, meenie...oh, forget THAT  -  the Chevy!!

Based purely on these pics, the Ford looks very boxy and slab-fronted while the Chevrolet looks much softer and easier on the eye.

Having said that, I browsed for other pics of both cars and the difference between "hard" and "soft" was less apparent, but on balance I still find the Chevy more pleasantly sculpted in appearance.

Not a fan of Chevy styling after 1966. The straight line design of the Ford, which began in 1965, was still in play in 1967 and IMO was very attractive. Ford. Good comparison John.

To me both were a step down from 1965-66 in looks, but the Ford looks better to me.

Those "haunches" on the rear of the Impala give it a more muscular look which I prefer.

This was a tough one John. But I finally came to pick the Ford but not by much over that beautiful Chevy.

Like Tony, based on design, this would be a toss-up for me. I like 'em both for different reasons. Between the two shown, I would opt for the Ford due to its impressive 427. I preferred it over Chevy's. It was more tractable and had a sweeter note.

On looks alone, today I'll go with the Impala. Tomorrow, the choice could be different.

Tough one for me also. I generally preferred Chevrolet in the 1960s, but that Ford with its trim squared design takes the day.

Easy one today.  I don't like either!  After the beautiful '65 Chevy, their styling started going south for the remainder of the decade for me.  As for the Ford, the same thing happened, but it started after the beautiful '64.  So basically after 1965, I quit paying attention to either brand in the full-size versions.

Ford please.  I like the Chevy styling '61 - '64 after that I don't care for Chevy styling. I love Ford styling '60 - '66 and like it '67 - '69.
