Not a fan of either one.  They both went the wrong way from 68.

While both seem to share the same styling philosophy, I prefer the mechanicals of the Dodge as well as that wide chrome grill.

Ford. Best year for the Torino looks wise, while Charger was losing the plot.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

I'm with Ed. I think the Torino is gorgeous.

Mid-size Dodge beats mid-size/intermediate size Ford any/every year.  Love Dodge [Charger & Coronet] '66 - '72, but I still like the mid-size Fords [Fairlane & Torino]; '63, '64, '66 - '71.

Funny, never put them together before to realize it, but I don't like the '65 Coronet or the '65 Fairlane styling. Yet I have always liked both in full-size [Monaco & Galaxie] in '65.

@frank  Frank; I agree,  For me both faded in looks after 1969.  Of these 2 I prefer the Ford; didn't care for this era Charger looks.

By 1972 the Dodge seemed to go south with their styling, while the Ford was still "styling and profiling".  Ford for me.

For me the Charger wins for styling, and wins by a mile for superior engine, transmission, and suspension.

Dodge may have the better drive train, but as far as looks go the Ford has it beat. Ford it is for me.

There are plenty of 72s Id like, but zero interest in these two.

How about:

Datsun 240Z

Olds Cutlass Supreme [formal roofline] or convertible.  One of the classiest styles of the era., yet never done in 1:43.

Buick LeSabre/ Wildcat 2 or 4 dr. Also one of the classiest of the era -- ruined in 73, and this is the year NEO chose.  The 2 dr's windows didnt even open due to cost-cutting [gutting]

Buick Electra 2 or 4dr. There were white metal models, but none available for years. And please no browns, golds, or reptilian greens.

Chrysler 300 /Chrysler Imperial -- 2 dr.
