Both are very nice looking cars and I would be proud to own either.  The nod goes to Pontiac for the extra luxury to accompany the sportiness.

Yikes! I've had both! Ill take the GP for a slightly better interior and seats.

Both great examples of the "Personal Luxury Coupe". I would have coughed up the extra bucks and bought the GP over the Monte in '73.

Love them both, owned a 75 Monte Carlo but I can't choose between them - rare tie for me!

Too new, don't care for either of them. Gets tough after '71, '50 to '71 the years I prefer.

The big bumper era ruins the looks of most cars, but I surprised myself voting for the Monte Carlo because I think it does it better with its big headlights and sculpted sides.

Retired in Dunedin, Florida.

GP for me too. I prefer its styling over the MC and definitely love those wheels. I like Ed's comment about the headlights. IMO most car designs became rather plain looking and lacked individuality when styled with four rectangular headlights.

I really like the look of the early Monte Carlo, although in 1976 I almost owned one of those GP; went with the 73 Cougar because that Pontiac 400 cubic inch V8 was a true gas guzzler.  👍

I like both but the gentler front grill and lines on the Monte Carlo do a little more for me.
