Without hesitation, 1965. Was there a better year for Detroit's full size offerings from every maker?
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
This one was tough, for me. The '64 Wildcat is a favorite but the '65 is, as well. Add the Skylarks to the mix and it got tougher. I'll go with a tie from all those shown.
I much prefer the more conservative styling of the '64; especially the roof. The '65 is a very attractive car too.
The '64 says, "We think we can do something really cool with a large coupe!" The '65 says, "See? Told ya!"

I figured you would go with the '65 JK; given your declared love for the design of the '65 Impala.
I voted sixty-five. The '64 is a tall and statuesque young model. The '65 matured a little and gained some needed curves in all the right places!
What stunningly beautiful full-size Buicks ! David would be extremely proud of these big cruisers and what this original at General Motors had developed into.
This one was actually kind of tough for me, as I like them both. But, I like the roof-line and the solid color of the '65 better. Two-tone cars in the sixties were a turn off for me.

The 65 wins out of two very handsome cars. A bit of the Riviera in the 65 roof line and curves. 👨🦳

The '65 for me, especially with those DDG wheels !
