Wow, I didn't even have to look at the pics the 61 was my choice right from when you listed it. Thank you John., the 61 is one of my favorites along with the 65. And Sunstar made one-helluva model of it 👍 I was just about dumbfounded and speechless when I saw it on the shelves at my local hobby shop. IMO it's one of the most perfect models I've ever had possession of. Now I would like Chris to speak up and tell me what he thinks about it. I know he posted a pic of it when his red white and blue pic posted the other day 👍
Both cars are beautiful but I give the nod to the '62 by a nose; it is my favorite Chevy of its decade.
I always liked the 62's roof. Sixty-Two for me please John!
1961. I like its looks and particularly its bubbletop

'62 please. I don't care for the bubble top or the V in the middle of the rear. '62 & '64 are my two favorite choices of the '60's. The '61 & '63 are close behind. The rest of the '60's Chevys I just don't care for the styling.

'61 for me. '62 looks like a '61 that put on a little too much weight...

Very close for me. A friend had a 62 409/409 four speed in Twilight Blue which I had the opportunity to drive. The feeling of power I experienced has never left me to this day. 62 for nostalgia sake.
Quite close for me but I slightly prefer the 1961 with its nose and roof treatment.
One of my favorite cars has always been the 1961 bubbletop Impala.

I like the '61, but I love the '62. It is, along with the '65 the two best Chevy's of the sixties decade IMO.

62 for me. I actually never liked the 61.
Although I like the '61, I see it more as a transitional year, closing out the design elements of the '50's and ushering in a new era for the Impala in the '60's. The '62 looks like a more substantial and elegant automobile, a precursor of Impalas to come. I vote '62.
'61 for me, smooth and stylish and I liked the way they sculpted the body lines to give reminders of the wilder 1960-61 rear end styling, but without the fins. Clever.
The appeal of the '62 is a mystery to me. I've only ever seen it in photos and it may be more appealing in the metal, but it looks to me like Chevrolet decided to take a break from styling for a year. Just a very functional tin box with spiky bits at the corners, and that roof shape isn't crisp and it isn't smooth, it's just kind of vague. My least favourite Chevy of the era by a long way.
