I much prefer the nose and tail end treatment of the '55.
I remember thinking at the time that the 1955 looked more streamlined than the 1956 and was disappointed with the changes. Despite liking both, I still prefer the 1955.

They are both beautiful Chrysler "Forward Look" automobiles and show a continuous evolution in design development from Virgil Exner.
I had to vote a tie. There were just too many things I like about both.
1956. The fins make the car whole. I also prefer the grille and color separation.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
They are both gorgeous, so I had to go with a tie.
Man, I love the '56, but the '55 calls to me. I vote for the '55.

Tie. Both are superb styling efforts.
'56 please, it's cleaner less complicated looking not over chromed.
Hard to imagine these are both entry level Chrysler Windsors ..they look top-of-the-line to me.

Interesting factoid...there were two 2-door hardtops in the Windsor line, the lower-priced Nassau and the fancier Newport. The Newport had a nicer interior - upgraded upholstery, door panels, carpet, etc. You can tell the difference from the exterior by the C-pillar trim. The Nassau had a "Nassau" script ('55 shown), the Newport had the 3 gold stars ('56 shown).
My '55 Windsor is the Newport:
which, for 1955, also included the chrome rocker panel molding that the Nassau shown lacks.
