Oh dear: I look on this series as a progressive decline in clean design with the 1960s being the purest, all-be-it with a nod to the tail fin era. With each progressive year the lines became less clean with the move to a heavy mid-side body chrome strip upsetting the symmetry in 1962 and 1963.

I like the 1960 best followed by 1961, 1962 and finally 1963. None look bad, just more cluttered.

1) 1963  2) 1960  3) 1962  4) 1961

I will respectfully disagree with David Green's comment that this is a "progressive decline in clean design".  To my eyes, the '63 is the styling design beauty of the four.

The '60 as it sits in its convertible form is certainly better than the '62 or '61.

But here is the interesting tidbit for me, if all four of these cars were in 4-door sedan versions, my ranking changes and becomes 1) 1962  2) 1963  3) 1960  4) 1961.

That '61 is just plain bad styling no matter how I look at it.

Opposites as usual George.  Not in the colors pictured but I love these year Galaxies, all of them.  For body styling in this order: '61, '63, '62, '60.

I owned ['61 & '62] and drove used examples of all of them back in the day. I loved driving my sister's '61,  390, 4 bbl., 3 on the tree, fastest car I drove at that point.

I've always liked the 1961. It wins, followed by 1960, 1963, and, finally, 1962.

@david-vandermeer David I agree with your choices and a tie between the 61 and 62. The interior in the 63 XL is drop dead gorgeous.

@david-green   I agree with my fellow Canuck David Green....but just in reverse.  Lol.  For me it's the attractive and aggressive looking '63 (especially in 63 1/2 roofline form), then the very attractive '62 followed very closely by the '61 then '60.  They are all very nice cars and I would be proud to own any one of them.
