The Buick sure would have looked much more impressive parked in a suburban driveway in 1955.

And yet had this contest been between the 1956's, I would have voted for the Buick.
Not me. I still think Mercury had it over Buick in 1956. Now if it had been '56 Mercury vs. '56 Oldsmobile, for me it would have been a run-a-way vote for the Oldsmobile.

Two beautiful '50's automobiles ! Although I currently have 3 of my Mercury 1/18 replicas from 1956 (but no longer right now my Mira/Solido '55 Buick), the classic 1955 Buick will forever also be connected with "Highway Patrol".
