Coupe-wise, I'll take the Ford. Station wagon - CHEVY all day long. It's the center pillar and sexy-styled roof that sets the Bowtie apart!
The sportier Chevy for me.

Nomad. 55,56 and 57 all three are outstanding.
@bob-jackman I agree Bob J.; for wagons there's just no beating the tri-5 Nomads.....but the Pontiac Safaris are a close second IMHO. For me the best Ford wagon of that era was the '56 Park Lane....just gorgeous!
I actually like the Ford Park Lane wagons better than the Tri-5 Chevy's. For sure though, the '55 Nomad is the worst looking of the trio. Those cut out open wheel wells just don't flow for my eyes.

@jack-dodds Agreed Jack, the 56 Parklane was a great wagon. I should have included the Safari with the Nomads.
