The '59 is my least favorite of this generation Imperial, the 1960 was a big improvement. The color of this Mark IV Continental seals the deal for me, along with the limousine leg room in the back seat. If I'm not mistaken, it was the largest unit body production car of its time, weighing in at over 5,200 lbs and riding on those low profile 14" x 9.50 tires! The 430 cid engine had enough torque to pull a house off its foundation. Definitely Continental!
@pete-rovero Pete; I am not really a fan of this generation of Lincoln but I do agree that the grille and rear end treatment of the '60 is by far the best of the three years. These cars make one heck of an impression at car shows though and are great examples of the extreme styling of that era. Interesting to note that in that era of excess their fins were very conservative.
Tough choice for me - both of these land beasts are amazing. Fifties class, design and excess all rolled up into very fine packages. Add the Cadillac to the mix and that would be heaven.
I will pick the Lincoln however for the simple fact, as my heart bleeds Ford Blue, that’s gotta be my choice today.

Tough call but the standout design of the '58 - '60 Continental has been a longtime favorite of mine. The Imperial is beautiful but it resembles the rest of the Chrysler Corporation lineup for this era.
Gents, thanks for your responses!
