I restored a 61 Olds Starfire exactly like this one and my dad owned a 61 Dodge Polara so nostalgia has got a grip on me. Olds, Dodge and Mercury.
I quite like the lines of the Mercury. If I pit them in order for me, it would be Mercury, Oldsmobile and Dodge.

@georgeschire , George I was shocked. When I first looked at the offering, I thought to myself, George will go with the Oldsmobile, as you are such a fan. Naturally myself, I went with the Dodge as you did.

I was shocked too.
But not really, because I've never liked the styling of the '60 and '61 Oldsmobile's. The '60 was just plain bland in appearance after the beautiful '59's and the '61's "pointy" rear fenders were a huge turnoff for me, as they were on the '61 Buick as well. While on the hand, I thought the '61 Dodge and its sister Plymouth were very intriguing in appearance. Love the "reverse fin" on the Dodge and the "Bullet" taillights on the Plymouth. As for the '61 Mercury, I love it much better than the '61 Ford, which was bland in comparison. My only disappointment with the '61 Mercury is that it became a shared body once again with Ford. I thought the '60 Mercury was one of the most beautiful Mercury's ever.

Not a fan of the '61 Oldsmobile, but compared to the Dodge and Mercury, it's a "Star"fire. Dodge and Mercury are tied for third place.
