The sharp Pontiac cannot be denied, but I do like the Dodge too.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
The Dodge is nice but the Grand Prix is head and shoulders above it in style and luxury.
This one is sooooo close! With the classic lines of a New Mexico taxi cab and those marvelous Walmart spinner hubcaps the Dodge is a close contender, but I’m going to choose the GP! Which one are you going with Geno old buddy?
There are quite a few automobiles nicer than the 65 Grand Prix. But today, unfortunately for the awfully nice Monaco, Dodge isn't one of them. Poncho for the knock-out!
I had an uncle who had a 65 Grand Prix. It would just float on the road. The interior was sensational. I prefer the 65 Fury over the Dodge.
Grand Prix for me. The sculptured body and eight lugs make it the winner although I wouldn't mind the Dodge being in my garage.
@kevins 😁 I'm pretty sure you know bud. Hell, I'm sure everybody knows, lol. In '65, Pontiac was pure automotive perfection across the whole lineup. Pontiac is the only car company to ever have the whole model lineup get Motor Trends coveted car of the year award. And '65 was that year, the GP is a prime example why. 😊
Not a great era for Dodge styling unfortunately; Plymouth did a much better job IMHO. Pontiac for the easy win.
I can see what everyone is talking about on the Pontiac, but I still prefer the Dodge for it's clean lines and great nose.
I don't mind the Dodge styling, but up against the Pontiac, there is no comparison for me.
PONTIAC for the win!
The sculpturing of the headlights and grill, the incredible flawless flow to the rear fenders, and the incredible top design, just delivers a handsome automobile.
Not to mention the smooth drive while looking down at a dashboard that is one of the most beautiful of any car of the 60's era. Quite frankly, there are not enough adjectives to describe the perfection of this PONTIAC!

Loved GMC styling '61 - '64. '65 up they were way too sculptured [thanks George] for my taste, including the GP.
Give me the square car styling of the Monaco, just looks like what a car is to me. I read somewhere the Monaco in '65 only was available in 2 door hardtop only.
I like them both a lot ! Dodge was a client of my Dad's then and our family had a big Dodge Custom 880 station wagon and he also purchased a Dodge 1966 Monaco sedan.
I voted for the Pontiac, but I almost went with Bruch here, and it surprised me. I love GM's designs for '65. They were all beautiful. The GP may be the only one that hasn't aged as well, for me. The grille, with those upright dividers, looks just a tad too busy to my eye for a long and low design, and the skirts make the car look just a wee bit heavy. I still love the GP, but the gorgeous interior and the lean, lithe look of the Dodge, with its airy greenhouse, almost swayed me... almost.
