I know most go bonkers over the '65 GTO, but this is my favorite '65 Pontiac. A nice balanced design for a full size. I had a chance to buy one identical to this from my neighbor back in the late 70's. Not this nice, but a well maintained survivor. I wish I had as it got totaled in an accident a few months later. 😟
@geno You are a man of culture and taste Geno, the only thing I would change is this gorgeous silver-blue color ( I totally like your yellow, I’m just a blue guy!)
@kevins WOW Kev, that is a beauty. The Mayfair Maize that Mike had was the only 2+2 I had ever seen in person back then. A rare car indeed in our area. It was an impressive ride. I loved that car. It sickened me when I found out it got totaled. To elaborate, the guy that bought it was speeding and lost contol on a dip in the road just outside of town. He nailed a concrete culvert, almost killed him.😥
I like Pontiacs and this year in particular, as my late brother had one. The roof line is attractive. At the same time, so is the Dodge's. The Dodge appears much lighter and leaner compared to the heavier looking Pontiac. Never drove either, so I cannot comment on their handling characteristics. The Pontiac exudes luxury, style and a somewhat sophisticated look while the Dodge a more practical, utilitarian, proletarian look. Have to call it a tie.
Easy choice for me today, PONTIAC!
