I've said this before: peak American full size in 1965. They're all terrific, but the Chevy comes first followed oh so closely by the Ford and the Plymouth.
Retired in Dunedin, Florida.
Slight edge to the Ford over Chevy. Good looking Plymouth though. 👍👍👍

Even though I am a Mopar fan, I have to go with the Chevrolet, then Ford, then Plymouth.
The Ford is sleek, the Chevy voluptuous, and the Plymouth is trim and beautiful. This is my very first tie. On any given day, I could vote for any of the three.

Ford please, followed by the Plymouth, leaving the Chevy last where it belongs after the beautiful '64 Impala [my favorite Chevy along with the '55].
While all are big, their stylings are diverse. All that said, I have difficulty choosing which I like best. I’m going for a tie here.
I have always found the edgy styling of the '65 Ford attractive and recall the polarized reaction of my friends back in the day. It seems that public opinion still reflects this as the beautifully sculptured '65 Impala receives much deserved accolades from car guys to this day. The more conservative design of the Plymouth was very well done too IMO and seemed to fall somewhere between that of the Ford and Chevy. My pick is Ford over Chevy by a very narrow margin and Plymouth third but also close behind. I would be proud to own any one of them.
1) CHEVY
2) PLYMOUTH
3) FORD
Chevy was so far ahead in styling to the Ford or Plymouth in '65 it's mind boggling. And it was the first year since 1962 that Chevy looked good again. As for the Ford and Plymouth, they were just okay. Line the three up next to each other and I'll spend staring at the Chevy, while other two will get only a casual glance.

Back in December of 1964, I was shopping for a new car. The car I ordered was the 1965 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport Coupe and that's my pick today. I took delivery in February of '65. Number two is the '65 Plymouth Sport Fury, which was a contender, and the Ford is last.

What color did you go with for your new Impala John? I recall there were many very attractive choices.

Jack, I took the conservative approach and went with Siarra Tan, which looks like metallic gold. For the interior I picked saddle "leatherette". The factory tinted windows enhanced the overall look. I was pleased with that combination, especially since I had never seen one configured that way.

This was a really tough choice for the top two, I keep bouncing between the Impala & the Galaxie, so I voted Impala, but really they are a tie. As much as I like the Plymouth, it just doesn't have the appeal as the other two, so it is always going to be third.
