Back in the day, I'd probably only give either just a passing glance. At this time, I'd chose the cleaner, simpler Merc over the Dodge but only by a whisker.

Dodge for me. I like the grille, tailights, and hardtop treatment.

Like Tony, back in the day neither would have gotten my attention. Today I like them but neither would be something I would pursue for a space in my garage. Tie.

Certainly not the most attention getting vehicles. Bland. I do have a slight preference to the Dodge but would not be interested in owning either one.

Mercury for me.  I never warmed up to the Dodge grille treatment and much prefer the Merc rear perspective.

Prefer the Mercury front and the Dodge rear. Maybe some enterprising metal-basher somewhere could combine the two ends to make quite an attractive car.

Tie.

Love them both, in '65 I would have chosen the Dodge, in '66 it would have been the Mercury.  '65 Monaco grill & tail lights were much better than the '66.  Prefer the '66 Mercury over the '65.

Man; I don't know 'bout that! The 57 Fairlane doesn't look bad at all!

Both from the same school of styling, to my eye. I think the Dodge has the superior drivetrain and suspension so I voted for it.

Hmmm....there seems to be a trend happening here.  Another "Not interested" for me today.  I was not a fan "square" cars and FoMoCo and Chrysler Corp. seemed to go out of their way for a time in the '60's to give them to us.  I don't like either car today.
