That Monte Carlo has much smoother lines that the Pontiac. It is better looking than most of its contemporaries. The flat nose appeals to me and seems more balanced than the Pontiac. I choose Chevrolet for this comparison.
This was a difficult one, as I love both of them. But Pontiac wins by a nose.
By “a” nose or “the” nose. 👍😎

DAMN! This is a tough one! I graduated from high school in June 1970 and these cars to my eyes were the "Cats Pajama's". That is a good thing! Both are extremely well styled and beautiful. Being unable to ever vote a tie, as that in my mind constitutes being the same as kissing a sister, I vote for the Pontiac by a "nose".

I owned a 70 Monte Carlo with the 300 hp 350.
It had the bucket seat option and probably the most comfortable car I ever owned.
I had the heads redone with larger valves and exhaust headers installed; that car sure ran great.

Back in the day I would have chosen the Monte Carlo for sure but now I prefer the more luxurious and still sporty Pontiac.
Tough call! Today, I go with the GP. Tomorrow??
I wonder how many folks remember what a sensation the '69 GP was. It had the "longest hood in the industry," a cockpit-styled interior oriented toward the driver, and dramatic styling for the time. The '69 set a new direction for personal luxury cars, a theme that lasted into the eighties.

Tough call for me. I went with the Monte Carlo, the GP looks like it's trying too hard.

I'll go with the Grand Prix. I like the Monte Carlo too but the GP innovations like the longest hood, antenna in windshield and cockpit styled dash do it for me. I bought a new 1969 GP and really liked it in spite of some odd electrical problems.
