"Do not see any real difference."
Really....?? These two Cadillacs couldn't be more different. Virtually nothing was carried over; for '77 Cadillac was all new.
Well, this comment wasn't directed at me, but I'm chiming in. Looking just at the two pics offered of the cars, I don't see any major difference between them at all from a cosmetic view point. They look virtually alike to my eyes.

"They look virtually alike to my eyes."
That's a remarkable statement considering the stark differences between the two vehicles. A completely new platform and redesigned body were introduced for the 1977 model year. Virtually no parts are interchangeable between 1976 and '77 Cadillacs.
What inspired this selection was the newly announced 1:18 '76 Cadillac CDV from Stamp. Somewhat surprised that no one mentioned it...go figure??
My pick is the '76 CDV which was the last of the Big Boat Cadillacs and in my opinion is drop dead gorgeous. The '77 was downsized and looks nothing like the '76. Some here are in desperate need of an eye exam.
Gents, thanks for your responses!

I went with the '76 as well. Back in the day, when you first saw the '77 in person, it looked radically different and smaller.
