Seventy-Six. No, seventy-seven. '76. No, '77.
Oh nuts - tie!
If you're gonna drive a Cadillac from the 70s, the '76 is my 1st choice. I might as well get all that I can from the experience. Big & bold is the best way. Now the '77 was a smartly sized and styled car, I've driven one of those and it was still a large car, just subdued a bit.

Tie for me. Do not see any real difference.
No interest in today's choices. Don't care for luxury cars and dislike most cars after '72.
Thanks John, but for me it's definitely I don't care.
Can't believe it's a "No Interest" for me for the second day in a row. Being honest all American cars from the 70's were Land Yachts and of no interest to me.

I recall liking the styling of the slightly downsized Caddy when it first appeared. '77 for me today.
77 for me. In 1979 I bought a new Cadillac CDV for my road car for my job. Best car I ever owned and the 425 CI engine was fantastic and a large trunk for my sample cases. Put 185,000 trouble free miles on it in two years. Would have bought another one but by then the only engine choices were a 350 gas, a 8/6/4 or a diesel with the last two both pieces of crap and the 350 not even close to the 425 in power. Next to the 76 which I also owned there was no comparison...the 76 didn't handle, it floated while the 77 through 79s actually handled quite well. No comparison from a guy who has had experience with both.
@bob-jackman "Experience" is sure an understatement....185,000 miles in just 2 years!!! Now that's what I call "On the road again."
I agree with you about the 8-6-4 and diesel GM car engines back in those days......absolute garbage.
I'm with you George. I've never been interested in helming or piloting anything that large. I was quite happy in those years to have my first VW Scirocco.

"Do not see any real difference."
Really....?? These two Cadillacs couldn't be more different. Virtually nothing was carried over; for '77 Cadillac was all new.
'76 for me. I had a '74 Coupe deVille, white with blue top/interior. It was 10 years old in pristine condition when I bought it at age 29. I felt like a millionaire driving it around!
