@jack-dodds For my taste; why is the'57 Olds one of my favorite and the '58 one of my most disliked cars.

Because the '57 is a beauty on wheels. The '58 and '59 followed in the beauty department, though not as great as the '57. Then in 1960 General Motors decided to give us a Boredom-Mobile, followed by their somewhat better '61. By 1962 they finally regained their styling genius and gave us the most beautiful Oldsmobile of the 1960's.

The 60 wins not so much for its beauty, but because the 58 is so poor IMO. You will never convince me that the trim on the front fenders of a 58 belongs with the trim on the rear fenders....it looks like two different designers had their own ideas and when it came together it turned out this way.

Bruce; I know...it's weird. I feel the same about the beautiful 57-58 Cadillac vs. the '59.
I'm going with the '58 with all the excessive chrome. That's what GM did back them. The '60 is almost invisible compared to the '58.

Any 50's or 60's Olds over the '58. Did we ever do a poll between the '58 Buick and the '58 Oldsmobile?
