I'm not especially enamored with the skirts on either. And though they are removable, the Galaxie still has an abundance of chrome on its lower rear flanks. However, it has much nicer wheel covers that appeal to me. Gotta go with a tie on this one.
Ford for me. I always liked this Ford, and felt the Chevy fell between two stools. I agree with Tony about the skirts.

These 1960s didn't appeal to everyone at the time, but they just happen to be two of my all-time favorite pieces of styling, so it's a tie.
Agree with Tony that rear wheel skirts very rarely improve the look of a car. They can make the rear end look heavy.

Very tough decision for me. On one side, I thought the Chevy was a slight step down from 59 and the Ford was a big step up from 59. All things considered I vote a tie but either would be welcome in my garage.
I feel like if the skirts were not there the cars would just look odd, with only half the well. Personally on these two I like the skirts, but my vote goes to the Ford with the nicer grill.
Like them both, but my votes goes to the Chevy.
John, you out did yourself this time by the degree of difficulty as evidenced by the voting.
After the beautiful '59 Chevy, I was extremely disappointed in the '60. While the '60 Ford on the other hand looked new and modern. It looked like it was moving forward even when standing still. FORD for me today!

Good looking Ford but I still have a slight preference for the 1960 Chevrolet.
Like the Chevy, love the Ford.

This one is as close to a tie as it gets for me but I give the nod to the Impala; mainly due to its more attractive tail end styling. I would be happy to own either car though. I have always wondered what made Ford execs decide, in '58 and '60, to go away from their trademark single, round tail light design featured from 1952 thru '64.
@bob-jackman Bob, thanks for the kind words.

I voted for the Chevy. Without badges, I would think it was a Chevy. Without badges, I would think the Ford was a Chevy.
Copycat styling for 1960 only! Back to looking like a Ford for '61.
